The board
Eight tableau columns and four free cells. Each free cell holds one card. You can only move the exposed card at the bottom of a column.
Legal moves
Tableau builds go down in alternating colours. Foundations climb by suit. Any exposed card can fill an empty column. A free cell is a temporary hold, not long-term storage.
Keep a free cell open
Try not to fill all four free cells. When they are full, the board tightens fast and plenty of moves disappear.
